 In
this section we will be presenting interviews with various
musicians, songwriters and record executives to let you discover
things like what it's like to tour Europe, how songwriters
actually piece together new songs, what A&R people are
looking for, how the big record companies plan on taking even
more of an artist's income (see Billboard's Clive Davis
interview below - even more reason to go Indie!), etc.
You'll meet people known and unknown from several different sectors of the music industry - people you can learn a lot from to enhance and improve your own music career. You'll probably also be interested in our new articles section which links to Billboard and highlights artists who are just breaking into the "big time" by such approaches as putting their songs on MySpace. These interviews won't necessarily come one a week or on a regular schedule, but as we get them, so be sure to come back often! As the section grows, I'll probably create an index by person.
